We are Grass Roots Rescue, home of the perfectly imperfect.  A 501(c)(3) non-profit, dog rescue that prides itself on the fact that we don't discriminate against any dog based on breed, age or medical condition.  We don't shy away from those that are in need of extensive medical care, rehabilitation, or will require additional work and resources.

GRR sees the value in all dogs. We believe each and every canine deserves their own unique chance at a happily ever after.  We rescue dogs from at risk locations and accept surrenders when owners can no longer care for them.

Our GRRTribe is comprised of a dedicated family of fosters, volunteers and veterinarians that are committed to making sure our dogs have the ability to transform into the best versions of themselves. They are provided love, veterinary care, and training until their forever family comes along; no matter how long it takes. We encourage each foster home to be as involved as they are comfortable with and allow them the freedom to foster dogs based on their needs, restrictions, or desires.

Grass Roots Rescue also strives to be a resource for our community and all pet owners.  We do our best to break down the stereotypes of many “bully” breeds. This is done by providing educational opportunities and information on responsible pet ownership, offering assistance with pet food, spay/neuter and emergency medical care when funding allows.
