about.

Grass Roots Rescue (GRR) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that saves dogs and sometimes other animals that are at risk in shelters and within the community.

GRR's primary objective is to improve the quality of life for animals. We strive to achieve this goal through various methods:

  • Rescue: Pulling at-risk dogs in local shelters and providing them with medical and foster care until the perfect permanent home is found. We also accept owner surrenders when space becomes available.

  • Outreach: We aim to increase the overall health and well-being of animals by empowering members of the community through education and sharing resources.

  • Education: Providing information to pet owners on appropriate pet care–ensuring a lifetime of happy, healthy relationships for all!

We just adopted our first puppy from Grass Roots and I can not begin to explain how great of an experience we had. Karli was available for any question we had at all times. The process was smooth and easy from beginning to end. Thank you Grass Roots Rescue for all that you do.
