cat adoption contract.

If the cat you are adopting is not yet fixed, s/he must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age. We collect a $75 check from you to ensure a spay/neuter. Do you understand that if you do not provide us with documents confirming the cat has been fixed, we will cash your $75 check?
Do you understand that if the cat is not fixed in the allotted time frame, we reserve the right to come in and remove the cat?
As the adopter, it is your responsibility to provide lifetime vet care (to include annual exams and vaccinations) for your new furry friend. Do you agree to do so?
We do not condone companion animals living outside, for any reason. The cat you are adopting from Grass Roots Rescue will be treated as an indoor-only companion animal, and will not be maintained outside. Should we find out that one of our cats is being kept outdoors, we reserve the right to come in and remove the cat. Do you understand and agree?
Do you understand that, if at any point, we feel as though the cat is not being cared for properly, we reserve the right to come in and remove the cat?
Do you understand that, if for any reason, you can no longer keep your cat, it MUST come back to Grass Roots Rescue, and it is your responsibility to transport the cat back to us with all of the medical records?
In the case of a return, if you take one of our cats anywhere other than the designated location, or give the cat to anyone else (including other shelters), you agree to pay Grass Roots Rescue a fine of $200.00.
Do you understand that declawing your GRR cat is NOT an option, and that if Grass Roots Rescue discovers that you have declawed the cat, we reserve the right to come in and remove the cat?

ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
